High End vs Affordable Matte Lipsticks

I am a lipstick junkie. I'll admit that wholeheartedly! As pictured above, I show you 3 matte liquid lipsticks that I've purchased from both Sephora and Macy's and 3 that can be found at Ulta, Target, and on the Colourpop website. I'll tell yall now, the formula of most of the higher end matte lipsticks that I own are almost, if not, just as good as the one's I have purchased from the drugstore. The prices are right (Anastasia Beverly Hills, Too Faced Melted and Sephora brand lipsticks can be up to $21!) and they give you the same finish. I love NYX Cosmetics and I was so happy that they released the Liquid Suede collection; the colors are phenomenal and they dry completely matte! My NYX Simply Nude lip pencil in Sable is almost the exact shade as my Too Faced Melted lipstick in Chihuahua but it was more than half the price! And the Colourpop Ultra Matte lipsticks are to die for; the colors are just as pigmented as the Anastasia liquid lipsticks, they're very long-lasting and only $6 on their website. Now, I do enjoy the high end lipsticks but I know not everyone can or want to splurge on lipstick that is affordable and does the same job. If you're a matte lipstick lover like me, I highly recommend running over to your local Ulta or drugstore and grab you some of these lippies! ♥
