Savannah, Georgia Travel Guide

Hey y'all! Ivan and I recently made a trip to Savannah, Georgia and I wanted to put together a quick travel guide for those that are planning a trip there! We spent two days there and also drove out to Tybee Island to check out the beach and it was a much needed adventure for us! Savannah is absolutely beautiful; we fell in love with the Spanish willow trees, and thriving with history! Take a look at some of the places we visited, restaurants we recommend and things we did during our stay!

Transitional Pieces

I wanted to share some amazing pieces that I thought could transition from summer to fall time! I have a bad habit of online shopping (who doesn't??) and I am so glad I was able to find some steals at one of my favorite online shops, Romwe. This hooded cardigan was only $10.99 and I love that it's not a thick knit to where I can't wear it during the warmer days while we move into cooler evenings. They have different colors perfect for the fall and winter and I think it looks great over a lace cami like the one pictured above. Abercrombie & Fitch is making a huge comeback and my inner 16 year old self is screaming right now because I absolutely love the quality and the awesome sales they've been having lately! Go and grab yourself this lace trim cami right now; these also come in a bunch of colors and prints! My jeans were also from Romwe and I believe they were under $14 and I love the raw edge on the legs! Be sure to read the measurements of each piece if you decide to order from them because certain items vary in size. I also make sure to read the reviews before adding anything to my cart. I hope you all enjoyed this look! I made sure to link all of my accessories as well and some similar to what I have (the items I have are sold out or from past seasons).

Prime Find

It’s been a long time coming but I’m back and I’m starting this off with an awesome Amazon Prime find! I will be featuring a new prime purchase once a week and comparing the item to a designer or more high end product if applicable! This weeks feature are these AMAZING, black camo leggings that I scored for $16.99!! I can’t take all of the credit though; I follow @livingmybeststyle on IG and she recommended this awesome find and I had to snag a pair for myself! She mentioned a similar pair of leggings by Spanx and I believe they run about $69. Thank goodness for her recommendation because y'all know your girl is not spending that much on a pair of leggings, no matter how cute they are! You need these in your life!!
I am HUGE on wearing nothing but athleisure wear when I’m not working so this find was literally the most perfect purchase to score! I’d wear them with my adidas runners or even my Tory Burch mini Miller sandals if I’m just running a quick errand. They are so comfortable, and the material is just right! I am obsessed with the print, and I think they’ll add an edge to any outfit! Definitely planning on pairing them with another amazon prime find; stay tuned!! So do yourselves a favor ladies and hop on that Prime train because these leggings will be your new best friends.

*Disclaimer: I linked a similar t-shirt as the one I am pictured wearing was purchased a few years ago.

January Favorites

Hi guys
I know it's been a really long time since I've blogged and it sucks to say, but life really did get in the way of something that I'm really passionate about :/
But today, I wanted to celebrate the new year by showing you some of my favorite things this winter season! These are pieces that I have worn over and over and I love that they're comfortable and versatile. I'm a sucker for oversized and slouchy sweaters and this one was a total score at Express! (Express always has great deals and I got this for 40% off!) This one is fun because it has an exposed detail in the back so I layered it with a lace bralette underneath. It was unusually warm the day that I wore the sweater and I was grateful that it wasn't a long sleeve! My leggings mock the criss cross look and they dress up (or down) any outfit I put together; I wore them out one night with a bodysuit and I was ready to party! My bag is literally my 'mom' bag. I got it on sale at H&M last summer and it's still available on their site :) It's a mess right now but it's a perfectly good house for my lipsticks haha!! Also, my Vans have been EVERYTHING these past two months! I normally wear my Nike free runs when I'm out and about but these kicks make any outfit timeless. They're just as comfortable as my Converse and although I'm not a 'skater girl', they give me a chill vibe ☮
I hope you all have a safe and wonderful weekend! I made sure to show you some more favorites below!

Battle of the Primers

Benefit Cosmetics the Porefessional // Smashbox Photo Finish // NYX Cosmetics Angel Veil // Make Up For Ever Mattifying Primer

I know I've been MIA lately, but I am happy and excited to tell y'all that I have all kinds of new things to share with you and I'm coming back with a vengeance! Today, I wanted to share a quick review of a few of my favorite face primers for normal to oily skin types. Now granted, there are tons of other primers out there but these four just so happen to be some of my favorites and have worked well for my skin type! For those that get oily and shiny throughout the day, I recommend using Benefit's Porefessional primer and the Make Up For Ever Base Mattifying primer. They will keep your face matte, making for a smooth makeup application and prevent too much oil from seeping through your foundation. The consistency of Make Up For Ever's primer is nice because it gets tacky at first but it sets quickly and mattifies your face completely! I especially like to concentrate the primers in my T-Zone area as that is where I tend to get the oiliest. Smashbox Photo Finish primer and NYX's Angel Veil are two of my most favorite primers because they make my face extremely smooth and prep my skin for foundation. They're both silicone based, non-greasy and oil free and quite hydrating in my opinion so they'd be perfect for those with normal to dry or mature skin. They smooth out any fine lines and fill in any enlarged pores you may have as well! While each of these primers have different properties and serve different purposes, I've found that they still do the job of keeping my face matte and keep my makeup in place! And good news; NYX's Angel Veil and Benefit's Porefessional are under $20, whereas Smashbox and Make Up For Ever primers range between $37-42! I'm always looking for the best face primers for normal to oily skin so please let me which are your favorites in the comments below! Also, which of these four do y'all like the most?!
