Winter Blues

It was finally a beautiful day but the cold air made it a bit unbearable for me to even wear my beautiful pair of Steve Madden's! Nonetheless, I decided to brave the frigid weather (the high was 20 degrees) and put together one of my favorite looks this winter. My leggings from Zara have become a staple in my wardrobe because they're extremely comfortable and with the ribbed detail, it adds a little something to your ordinary pair of leggings. The North Face Gotham jacket brings so much warmth to this outfit; thanks to my boyfriend, it's one of my favorite gifts from him and I appreciate having it to wear during this season! Now, the showstopper to this look deserves an applause, these Steve Madden heels are another amongst my favorites and definitely change up the game in my shoe collection. Praise the Shoe-God for letting me stumble upon these beauties at Nordstrom Rack for half the price of the original and making them the discussion of the week with my girlfriends. Gotta love a great pair of heels, even if you have to risk the chance of getting frostbitten toes!

Rainy Day Parade

The weather here in Georgia has been pretty gloomy, and I guess it's added onto my mood and my perspective on life lately. You know when you're immune to your daily routine of either working a full time job, or going to school, or even being a stay at home parent, you get into this weird funk? Well, that's exactly how I'd been feeling these last few days but once I step out into the fresh, crisp air, and reflect on all of the blessings I have, I start to feel like myself and my mind becomes clear. Styling has always been an outlet for me. I dress the way I feel, or WANT to feel! Just because it's a bit dreary out, doesn't mean you should bum it out in yoga pants and an oversized sweatshirt. This look may be a bit on the dark side, but accessorizing with different textures or even adding a few luxury pieces to your look could change up any funk you're in! What do yall do to relieve stress and clear your mind?
