Current Skincare Routine

A lot of people ask me about my skin care routine and this is probably one of the most highly requested posts I've been asked to do. Thank goodness for yall, my daily routine is fairly simple and does not require the use of a handful of products! I've mentioned before that I have normal to oily skin, but rarely do I experience any breakouts, and just maybe a few blemishes here and there. Before cleansing my face, I'll use makeup remover wipes to breakdown my eye makeup as I don't want to rub at my eyes too much and I've found these Target brand ones to work effectively! The Neutrogena cleanser I've been using for this last month or so is very gentle and does not irritate my skin, it's also oil free and paraben free. After cleansing, I'll apply this toner by Kueshi that I absolutely love and have re-purchased to balance out my PH levels and hydrate my skin. Lastly, I will use a facial emulsion to further moisturize my face and this just sinks right in and instantly brightens my skin. Every morning, I'll use the same cleanser just to freshen my face and I'll dab on this Benefit 'It's Potent!' eye cream before my daily moisturizer. It reduces any puffiness and smoothes out any under eye wrinkles and I swear it works miracles! I'm really happy with the results so far and I would definitely recommend any of these products to anyone interested in giving them a try!
*Disclaimer: I couldn't find the exact products that I use but I show some options below that are fairly similar, and one's that I've used in the past and have worked for my skin!
I do exfoliate about twice a week to get rid of any dead skin, and I will use a clay mask every so often (Love the one's in packs found at Walmart!) to get deep into my pores and dry out any blemishes. *Use an old foundation brush to apply masks to avoid any mess! Also; Benefit Cosmetics has a travel sized b. Right Radiant Skincare set at Ulta for $24! You're welcome :)

Back II Basics: Remixed

Power Rangers Sweatshirt // Express Knit Headband (similar) // New Balance Leggings (similar) // Nike Free 5.0 (similar)

It has been so cold these last few days here in Georgia and even though I'm from the North, having lived here for so long; I truly took the warmer days for granted! I pulled this amazingly soft and comfortable sweatshirt from my closet and threw it on with some basics for a casual day. And because I try not to look like I just rolled out of bed, I love that the print on this sweatshirt is of The Mighty Morphing Power Rangers; it makes it more fun and youthful and totally brings me back to my childhood :) I love to make dressing down fun, even when you're really not trying. Some basics and sweatshirts can be pretty pricey (i.e. American Apparel, and Wild Fox) but you can come across inexpensive finds at a consignment shop or stores like Old Navy and Forever 21. I've even been known for wearing night shirts and sweats out in public, but only because they are the most comfortable kind of apparel and so versatile! I am definitely all about being cute and cozy and I hope yall can agree with me on that!

Below are more fun options!

Current Beauty Favorites

Happy New Year yall! Today I'm talking about my current beauty favorites! This new year, I'm all about making sure I use the best beauty products for my skin and just also rave about some products I've added to my makeup collection.
I have normal/oily skin and even though during the colder months this season, my skin can be quite dry, I still like to use a matte face primer to keep the oil at bay, and this Makeup Forever Skin Equalizer is hands down my favorite! It fills in my pores, and keeps my foundation and concealer completely matte throughout the day and has become one of my absolute favorite primers to wear underneath my makeup. And speaking of keeping my skin matte; the Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte foundation is one of my drugstore favorites. It comes in a variety of shades and it is very light weight with medium and buildable coverage! Another drugstore favorite is my NYX contour palette! Even though I love my ABH contour kit, this one is inexpensive, has a variety of contour shades and blends so easily to help achieve that perfect sculpted look. For my eyebrows, I've been using my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow and it has made shaping and filling in my eyebrows so much more efficient; it's a non-fuss brow product that I have grown to love! Lastly, as I've mentioned before, I am a huge lipstick junkie. For those of you that missed out on the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit, go and grab these adorable (they're shaped like pills!) Matte Lip Velour's by Winky Lux! My best friend gifted these to me for Christmas and these lipsticks are just as good as any high end matte lipstick and they're cruelty free! And of course, my most favorite matte lipstick shade this last month has been the ColourPop Ultra Matte Lipstick in 'Trap.' It's the perfect grey toned plum shade and has never failed me!
Please share your current beauty favorites in the comments below and I wish you all an amazing 2016!
